Street Fighter X Tekken

On this special Street Fighter x Tekken episode of Cross Counter LIVE, gootecks and Mike Ross are joined by Clakey D and Eliver “KillerKai” Ling.  ClakeyD and KillerKai won not one, but two SFxT team tournaments at Level Up’s Wednesday Night Fights last week.

The guys talk about recent news and events such as:
– Capcom’s $500k tournament series
– the beginning of Cross Assault
– MLG’s Mortal Kombat 9 prize money

Finally, gootecks and Mike Ross make their SFxT co-op debut against KillerKai and ClakeyD.  They play a set of first to 3 for bragging rights.

You guys are definitely on point when say the 2v2 in SFxT is going to be the best and hypest format for tournaments. Anyone that has played a team based game knows why. You’re yelling out stuff to your boy, while the other team hears it all and try to counter-attack. With that said, if JWong and Ricky team up, it’s over. Justin was figuring out shit while playing in the WNF, and winning. Ricky is just solid.
On the Cross Assault picks, I’m disappointed about the Tekken side. Some of the picks, like Superyan, hardly play the game by their own admission. if Capcom wants to seriously make this as big as Blizzards tournaments, they need to stop pandering to the masses of idiots that vote/watch vids, and choose people who have a solid list of accomplishments in the community. That’s why SC invitationals bring in the big bucks, only the solid competitors are allowed to enter.
