INDEPENDENCE DAY Sequel Is Greenlit By Fox – AMC Movie News

Although plans for a new INDEPENDENCE DAY movie have been in the works for some time, Fox studios has never actually green lit the project… until now. According to a report in Deadline, Fox has officially given the go ahead to begin work on the sequel and it’s expected to start shooting in May for a June 14th 2016release. The third INDEPENDENCE DAY film however was not green lit as the studio wants to wait and see how the sequel progresses and is received first.
