It’s a PARTY at theStream.tv – This showcase featured Justin Hopkins, Connie Lim, and Uncle Daddy. Hosts Julia Price and Kindall Kollins take you behind the scenes to meet these rising stars.. theStream.tv was rocking’ this week. Friday night began with Justin Hopkins from NBC’s The Voice. Hopkins was a member of Team Cee Lo during season two of “The Voice,” most memorably joining theatre veteran Tony Vincent on a battle round rendition of the Journey classic “Faithfully” that floored the show’s coaches and audiences alike. Our next performer, Connie Lim, was listed as one of the hottest 100 unsigned live performers of the year in 2013 by Music Connection Magazine. Her album “A Better Part of Me” was nominated by Examiner.com’s LA Music Critic Awards as Best Female CD of the year and Buzzfeed.com listed Lim as one of the Top 10 Asian American Musicians to Get Behind. Wrapping up the evening, we bring you a little bit of rock with some southern soul from LA native band a local fan describes as “They sound like watching Mumford & Sons play the Black Keys while Led Zeppelin has sex on Jonny Cash’s pool table.” We are pleased to bring you Uncle Daddy featuring frontman/guitarist TJ Stafford, violin player Robbie Anderson, cellist Jacob Szekeley, mandolin player Andrew Jed, guitarist Noah Needleman, and drummer Christopher Allis. Hosts Julia Price, an accomplished musician in her own right, and Kindall Kollins take us behind the scenes and into the crowd.
