Rocky Spinoff CREED Coming Thanksgiving – AMC Movie News

The upcoming Warner Bros Rocky Spinoff film CREED has been set to open on Thanksgiving weekend on November 25th. CREED follows the grandson of Apollo Creed, played by FANTASTIC FOUR actor Michael B Jordan, and Sylvester Stallone reprising his Rocky Balboa role, acting as the younger Creed’s reluctant trainer. The elder Creed, played by Carl Weathers, appeared in the first four Rocky films until a fight with Ivan Drago in Rocky IV led to his death in the ring. CREED will open just one week after the final HUNGER GAMES film and directly against films like Disney•Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur and Ridley Scott and Matt Damon’s The Martian.
