Inside Horror: Dead Kids

The “bad kids” welcomed the “dead kids” last night on Inside Horror — yep, I said inappropriate things, Rebekah McKendry dissed the Mother’s Day remake, and Elric Kane… well, you’ll see! The episode, if it’s not ready yet, should be posted here soon (you can always find’em on YouTube). Representing the dead kids were directors Mary Lambert (Pet Sematary) and Ciaran Foy (Citadel).

First up, Rebekah recommended some of her favorite recently-seen horror films (on the live feed, pre-show — 70s bikesploitation: yeah!), then we kicked off with some looks at what’s in theaters now (The Raven… not recommended), and DVD (Mother’s Day… again, not recommended), and then we revealed our picks for best home invasion horror movie. Mine is the best, of course: Klaus Kinski in 1986’s Crawlspace, which is directed by the same guy who did Tourist Trap (another big-time throw-back fave of mine). You’ve gotta see the clip on this one, and then check out the film (and Tourist Trap, if you haven’t seen it… in fact, I think I’m gonna have a David Schmoeller film fest! Who’ll bring the beer and chips?
